Sliding Sash Windows: classic proportions with a modern window system

Keep the proportions of traditional box sash windows with modern PVC-U operation. ECOSlide combines independently moving sashes, a balanced mechanism and an inward cleaning tilt, with bars, deeper bottom rails and woodgrain finishes to complete the look.

Two sashes, independent ventilation

ECOSlide has top and bottom sashes that slide independently. Its balanced load mechanism is designed to hold each sash at the chosen height. You can open the upper sash, lower sash or both to vary the ventilation without a casement swinging outward.

Clean the outside glass from indoors

ECOSlide includes an inward tilt facility for access to the outside glass and frame. This can be particularly useful upstairs or above a conservatory. The tilt is a cleaning feature alongside the normal vertical sliding operation; we will explain its use for your selected windows.

Details that recreate sash-window proportions

ECOSlide describes internal Georgian bars, external astragal bars and a deep bottom rail with a traditional joint appearance. REHAU Heritage adds classic-style furniture and optional decorative horns. These details help match the character of older sash windows rather than simply copying their overall shape.

Woodgrain, colour and shaped openings

ECOSlide lists woodgrain finishes such as Cream, Golden Oak and Irish Oak, alongside grey, green and other colour options. Its brochure also describes shaped sash windows and sash bays. Ask about the finish, rail, horn and bar combinations available for your opening.
