CHESTER WINDOWS
Tilt-and-Turn Windows: two opening modes, one considered design
Tilt the sash inward for ventilation or turn it inward for a fuller opening and cleaning access. REHAU highlights this style where space outside is restricted, while VEKA illustrates a contemporary anthracite woodgrain finish.

One sash with two opening modes
REHAU describes both an inward tilt and a full inward-opening mode. The tilt creates an opening at the top of the sash; the turn mode brings the sash into the room. This gives you two ways to use the same window rather than separate top and side openers.
Useful where outward opening is awkward
Because the sash opens inward, it does not swing across the space immediately outside the window. REHAU identifies restricted outdoor space as a reason to consider this style. Inside, the sash still needs clearance from blinds, curtains, taps and furniture.
Bring cleaning access within reach
REHAU highlights cleaning from inside the home as a benefit of the inward-opening arrangement. Opening the sash toward you can make the outside face easier to reach. We will discuss the practical access provided by the proposed size and position of each window.
A contemporary finish with coordinated hardware
VEKA illustrates tilt-and-turn windows in Anthracite Grey Woodgrain and emphasises their clean lines. REHAU describes compatible handle, hinge and locking options. We will confirm the hardware and glazing in your quotation, including any requirements particular to the room.
